2026 European Supported Employment Conference
2026 European Employment Conference
These terms apply to ticket purchases, event bookings and related orders made through the BASE website. They explain how bookings work, what happens if details change, and the responsibilities of both BASE and the person placing the order.
These Terms and Conditions apply to ticket purchases, event bookings and related orders made through https://base.thatdeveloper.co.uk for BASE events, conferences, training sessions and other related products offered on this website.
By placing an order through this website, you agree to these terms together with any event-specific information shown on the relevant page at the time of booking.
BASE is the British Association for Supported Employment. BASE is registered in England and Wales as a company (No. 05794990) and charity (No. 1136395).
These terms apply to bookings and purchases made through this website for BASE-managed events and related products. If a particular event, programme or booking page includes additional terms, deadlines or eligibility rules, those event-specific details will also apply.
All tickets, places and bookings are offered subject to availability. We aim to ensure that event descriptions, dates, prices, eligibility notes and booking windows are accurate at the time they are published, but information may occasionally need to change.
Submitting an order does not guarantee a place until the booking has been accepted and confirmed by BASE.
Some ticket types may be limited to particular groups, such as members, partner organisations, sponsors, exhibitors, or other defined categories. It is your responsibility to select the correct ticket type and to provide accurate information when making a booking.
If a booking is made using an incorrect ticket type, BASE may:
You must provide complete and accurate information when placing an order, including contact details, organisation details where relevant, delegate names, and any billing information needed to process the booking.
BASE is not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied at checkout.
All prices shown on the website are the prices payable at the time of booking unless stated otherwise. Payment must be made using one of the methods offered through the website, unless BASE has agreed an alternative arrangement in writing.
A booking will normally only be treated as confirmed once payment has been successfully authorised or an alternative payment arrangement has been accepted by BASE.
After placing an order, you should receive a confirmation email or booking acknowledgement. If you do not receive confirmation within a reasonable time, you should contact BASE so that the booking can be checked.
BASE reserves the right to decline, cancel or query an order where there is a genuine reason to do so, including pricing error, ticket eligibility issue, duplicate booking, suspected misuse, or inability to process payment.
If you need to update delegate information after booking, please contact BASE as early as possible. We will try to accommodate reasonable requests, but changes may not be possible close to the event date, particularly where final attendee lists, venue access arrangements, printed materials or catering numbers have already been prepared.
If a booked attendee can no longer attend, you may request a substitution or transfer of the place. BASE will consider such requests reasonably, but approval may depend on the type of event, the timing of the request, and whether the replacement attendee meets any relevant eligibility criteria.
If you need to cancel a booking, please contact BASE in writing as soon as possible. Where an event-specific cancellation or refund policy applies, that policy will take precedence over these general terms.
Unless otherwise stated for a particular event:
BASE may need to make reasonable changes to an event, including to the programme, speakers, venue, date, timings, format, delivery method, or other practical arrangements. This may include converting an in-person event to an online or hybrid format where reasonably necessary.
Where changes are significant, BASE will aim to communicate them clearly using the contact details provided at the time of booking.
If BASE cancels an event or has to postpone it, we will contact affected bookers using the information held for the order and explain the options available at that time. Those options may include transfer, credit, rebooking, or refund, depending on the circumstances.
BASE is not responsible for indirect losses or third-party costs that attendees may incur, such as travel, accommodation, subsistence, or time away from work, unless the law requires otherwise.
BASE wants events to be as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible. If you or a delegate have accessibility requirements, communication needs, or support needs relevant to the event, please let us know as early as possible so that arrangements can be discussed.
While we will try to help wherever reasonably possible, some arrangements depend on venue constraints, lead times, supplier availability, or the format of the event.
Attendees are expected to behave respectfully towards speakers, staff, volunteers, partners, venue teams and other delegates. BASE reserves the right to refuse admission or remove a participant if their behaviour is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or seriously disruptive.
Where appropriate, no refund will be due in these circumstances.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, attendees are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, insurance, visas, and related arrangements for attending an event.
BASE strongly recommends that attendees avoid making non-refundable arrangements unless they are comfortable with the risk of event changes outside BASE’s reasonable control.
Some BASE events may involve photography, filming, livestreaming, or event recordings for operational, promotional or archival purposes. Where this is relevant, BASE may provide additional notice through the event information, booking materials or signage.
Event materials provided to attendees remain subject to any intellectual property rights belonging to BASE or the relevant speaker, trainer or contributor. Unless expressly stated otherwise, those materials are for personal or internal organisational use only and must not be reproduced or distributed commercially without permission.
Content on this website is provided for general information about BASE and its work, events, services and offers. We take reasonable care over the content we publish, but we do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, current or free from error.
You must not misuse this website, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it in a way that is unlawful or harmful to BASE or other users.
Personal information submitted through this website will be handled in line with the relevant privacy information published on the site and with the practical requirements of administering bookings, communications and related services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, BASE’s liability in connection with a booking or use of this website will be limited to the amount paid for the relevant order or service, so far as is reasonable in the circumstances.
BASE will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or a booking made through this website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless another applicable legal requirement says otherwise.
If you have questions about a booking, event order, or these Terms and Conditions, please contact webmaster@inkfire.co.uk.
